Pre-Appointment Care
Before your provider arrives, create a comfortable space with a flat surface, like a table or kitchen counter, for them to set up. Ensure your skin is clean and free of makeup; if you’re wearing any, it will be removed before treatment. Stay hydrated, and avoid facials or peels for 3 days before your session. To help minimize the risk of bruising, avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your treatment.
Post-Treatment Care
After your botulinum toxin treatment, take care by following these simple guidelines:
Avoid lying down for four hours to prevent the botulinum toxin from migrating.
Hold off on strenuous activities or anything that causes sweating for 24 hours.
Avoid facials or facial massages for two weeks, allowing the botulinum toxin to settle.
Skip tight hats or headbands immediately after the treatment.

Contraindications: botulinum toxin is not recommended for those who are pregnant, nursing, or have certain medical conditions, including myasthenia gravis, Eaton-Lambert syndrome, or infections at the injection site.
